“Thranduil is right. We can never think too highly of you. You are as perfect as my sweet boy, Celeborn.” He grinned as he fed Thranduil, loving the happy spark in his son’s eyes - a spark he probably didn’t even know he had. He picked up some cheese from Celeborn’s plate and nibbled on it, glancing up at him sheepishly. “Oh, forgive me. I am stealing your breakfast…”

“Both of you are so kind to me. I could never thank you enough for your kind words.” He placed a kiss to Oropher’s forehead, then another to the corner of Thranduil’s mouth. He only laughed when Oropher apologized to him, shaking his head and dismissing his words promptly. “There is nothing to forgive; you can have all you like. Besides, it seems I’ve eaten enough as it is these past few weeks, hmm~?” He grinned, referring back to their light teasing of his recently gained weight. 

Thranduil smiled, nodding in agreement to Oropher’s words, and grinned with happiness at the kiss at the corner of his mouth, returning it with a kiss to his cheek. He laughed softly at his words. “Nay, nay, it is never enough! You must always eat to maintain your energy, Celeborn.” he said with a grin and picked up a strawberry, feeding him and then doing the same to Oropher, smiling in delight at being both able and allowed to.

He grinned and accepted the offered fruit, lifting his legs to drape them over Thranduil’s lap. He closed his eyes as he rested his head against Celeborn’s shoulder, simply enjoying having his family close once again. His fingers toyed with Celeborn’s hair as he nuzzled closer, quite content to go back to sleep if he would be allowed to.

He laughed warmly, leaning into Thranduil’s shoulder lovingly. How he was ever so lucky enough to have him to call his own - and to be Thranduil’s in return - was beyond him. However, he didn’t question it. He would rather enjoy the moment than ponder over it uselessly. “If you say so, darling, I shall maintain all the energy I can.” He lifted his arm from around Oropher’s back and brought his hand to his hair, playing with it as a type of ‘revenge’, though it was anything but out of spite.

He took the moment to appreciate the similarities between Oropher and Thranduil; the way their hair had a very similar golden shimmer, how their eyes were both indeed incredibly beautiful, and just the comfort they brought to him was astounding. He could never feel such a way about anyone else, he decided. They were simply perfect. “I could remain here all day with you both…”

Oh, but this was perfect, being able to have them both so near, sharing the closeness with them without anyone being awkward. He knew this was because Oropher and Celeborn also were so close, and thus did not have to go through the stage of being introduced and being suspicious and that kind of thing.

“Then stay here,” he murmured softly. “There is no need to go anywhere, is there? Though I would rather find somewhere more comfortable to cuddle with the both of you than here… though I suppose I will eventually have to leave.” He did not look forwards to the meetings he had to attend or the reports and letters he had to write and things he had to schedule and bah! No, staying with the two he loved would be far better.

“I would not object to moving somewhere more comfortable.” He murmured, not opening his eyes - far too comfortable to want to move, however. “But I am afraid one of you shall have to carry me, for I do not wish to move myself.” He hooked an arm around Celeborn’s neck, as if to prove his point. “I am not moving~” He nuzzled closer, yawning slightly as he stretched his legs further out across Thranduil’s lap.

“I am not that bad!” He pouted, haughtily stabbing his fork into some bacon and stuffing it into his mouth. “Thranduil is worse.” He muttered once he’d finished swallowing. He glanced at his bare shoulder as if seeing it for the first time. “Oh, yes… well, they are a little large on me, but these robes are comfortable and I do not wish to change.” He grinned. He finished his small plate of breakfast and rose from his chair, walking around to Celeborn’s. He contemplated asking permission, but he knew Celeborn would not mind either way, and so he slid into his lap and cuddled closer. “It is good to be home.”

“He is right, you know,” he said, smirking towards Thranduil in a playful manner. “Once you are asleep, there is no waking you!” He laughed, letting Thranduil know that he was only teasing him. He watched Oropher approach and set his own fork down, knowing his intentions easily. It was no difficult task to see what he wanted by studying his movements; he’d learned how to read him when he was very small, and even now it was still the same. He smiled as the elf set himself in his lap, and instinctively as he had done when he was smaller, he brought his arms loosely around him to hold him in place. “It is wonderful to have you home… We have missed you so much.” His eyes lifted towards Thranduil, a part of him wishing for him to join their embrace somehow. It was wonderful to have Oropher in his arms, yet it was even better to have Thranduil there with them.

“Hah!” Thranduil snorted, crossing his arms in protest, but laughed right after. “Ai, that is true I suppose. But you cannot deny that sleep is wonderful! Nearly as wonderful as food, in fact. Also, you are simply impossible, ada! But if you wish to keep the robe it is yours.” He smiled fondly as he watched them, for he knew they needed the closeness they were now sharing. And it was a beautiful sight. He met Celeborn’s gaze and shifted a little closer, wrapping his arms around the both of them for a momentary hug. “We have… oh, it is hard to believe that you are really here!”

“You always think things are nearly as wonderful as food…” He laughed, nuzzling closer to Celeborn. He stole a strawberry from his plate with a slightly cheeky grin, popping it into his mouth with a soft hum of delight. He grinned again as Thranduil embraced them both, feeling more loved than he had in a long, long time. “You have been letting Thranduil feed you, I see~” He nudged Celeborn playfully, prodding at his stomach. “Trying to keep up with him, are you?”

He blinked, looking down in confusion at his stomach and then at Oropher. Was he saying what he thought he was saying? “Perhaps I have allowed Thranduil to feed me from time to time… It… it shows?” He felt a sweeping sense of worry pass through him and he looked to Thranduil with a somewhat worried expression; did he notice it too? Though, looking back to Oropher again, he knew he was only saying it in good fun. He wouldn’t allow something like his physical appearance get to him right now. He smiled and shook his head with a light laugh, tossing in an eye roll for good measure. “Well, he makes it quite impossible to resist when he asks nicely… and I rather like it when he feeds me anyways~” He grins, adding, “It’s quite the enjoyable experience, I’ll have you know~”

“Does that surprise you? Food is amazing, surely you must know!” he replied with a light shrug. “There is little better… only you two, and Galion, and the realm itself. So there!” He grinned as he watched them. “Oh, but father, no one can keep up with me~ It is too late for anyone who wishes to try.” He smiled softly at Celeborn and shook his head, kissing his cheek. “Oh, you are amazing. I love you no matter what you look like, and if you are a little rounder then that is not a bad thing! I shan’t feed you if you do not want to become rounder, of course, but I do not see it as something negative. Being a little plump never harmed anyone. Just look at me!” He motioned enthusiastically to himself. “Oh, I always ask nicely~ Forever~” He picked up a strawberry and held it up towards Celeborn. “See?”

“It does show, but it is a good thing, Celeborn. You are healthy, like my beautiful boy.” He grinned, his fingers gently playing with Celeborn’s silver hair. “Ah, Thranduil always loves feeding others, almost as much as he loves being fed.” He watched them with a smile, his fingers now playing with the robes Celeborn wore as he cuddled even closer, enjoying his warmth.

He grinned at Thranduil’s words, knowing that he would never cease to amaze him. He leaned forward towards the offered strawberry, taking a bite of the delicious fruit and humming in pleasure. “I could never deny you anything, beloved.” He felt his hair being played with and gently nuzzled Oropher closer now. “Well, I would rather be healthy than not; and it is certainly a bonus when the one who willingly feeds me does not mind.” Another smile was sent Thranduil’s way, and this time, he leaned in - past the strawberry - and placed a warm kiss on his lips. This moment was absolutely perfect, and he truly hoped it would never end. If only they could stay together like this forever…

“Being fed is wonderful~ But it feels good to shower attention upon someone as well.” He smiled, shifting closer and leaning against Celeborn’s side, so happy to have them both with him like this. It was a rare gift he treasured dearly, one that he would not exchange for anything in all of Arda. He returned the kiss, humming softly into it. “Ai, you are so beautiful, my starlight. So perfect.” He gazed at him lovingly, before smiling at his father. “And so are you. You are both truly amazing people.”

“I am only amazing because I had the most wonderful parental figure.” He murmured, kissing Celeborn’s cheek softly. “I have missed you so dearly…” He reached over and took Thranduil’s hand in his own, his free hand picking up another strawberry. He held it out to Thranduil, knowing he was far from full even though he had ceased eating for the moment.

He pulled one of his arms from around Oropher and slid it around Thranduil’s back, wanting them both closer to him at the same time. As Oropher kiss his cheek, he felt himself lean into the affectionate gesture, closing his eyes and enjoying it. “You think too highly of me… I only did what I could to make you as happy as possible when you were young.”

Thranduil loved just watching them, their gestures and the way they were around each other, for it was simply just a beautiful sight. They were so familiar and close and he was one of the luckiest Elves alive, he was certain of it. He gave Oropher’s hand a small squeeze, happily accepting the strawberry with his teeth and munching it, quite pleased. His stomach was certainly happy, for it had been about to growl again, but now it was being sated~ “We can never think too highly of you, Celeborn.” he murmured to him, smiling. “Really.”

“Memories kept me going. I do not know if it is possible to fade in the Halls, but I think I might have if I did not have my memories.” He smiled. “I did not think so, but I wanted to make sure. He really is a lovely Elf, and he adores Legolas. Do not be too hard on him, okay?”

“I am glad you did not,” he murmured and smiled at him. “So that we can continue making more memories.” He chuckled. “I make no promises, ada~ It all depends on what Haldir will be like on the day that we decide to do this… which I suppose must be soon. Tomorrow, maybe? Or later today…”

“Yes, we need many more memories!” He nuzzled against his arm, sighing happily. “Tomorrow, I think. Let him have some time to rest after travelling, Thranduil, otherwise it will not be a fair fight. Do you really want to best him when he is exhausted? There is no victory there!” They were approaching the private dining hall, and he could smell breakfast cooking already.

“That we do!” He pulled him closer still and sighed, loving the comfort and warmth Oropher gave him. “Tomorrow sounds good then. I suppose I would rather have a proper victory rather than an unfair one…. honour is, after all, important if you can have it.” He smelled the food and his stomach rumbled embarrassingly, and he grinned sheepishly. “I think I am quite ready for food now.”

He happily cuddled closer. “Tomorrow it is, then.” He laughed as Thranduil’s stomach rumbled and he reached around to pat his stomach gently. “The beast has woken, it seems. Best feed it before it starts clawing its way free.” He opened the door to the private dining hall, and beamed when he spotted Celeborn sat at the table. “Celeborn!” He released Thranduil’s hand and bounded over to him, throwing his arms around him. The robe slipped further down the one shoulder with the movement, and he quickly hitched it back up, only to have it slip off once again.

Glancing up as he heard his name, he smiled warmly as he saw Oropher approach him and quickly stood to receive his enthusiastic greeting. “I see you are very well today, Oropher,” he laughed and returned his embrace, smiling to Thranduil as he saw him through the corner of his eye. As soon as they pulled back, he saw the robe slip again from Oropher’s shoulder and reached out, pulling it up again. He didn’t remove his hand from his shoulder, even as Thranduil finally caught up. ”I was almost beginning to wonder where you two were. Thranduil merely laughed. “Indeed it has! I must satisfy it before it gets angry it seems.” He smiled fondly as he spotted Celeborn at the table, following at a much calmer pace than his father. One would think Oropher had eaten sugar or some such with how he was being, but it was rather adorable. “My apologies, love,” he murmured, leaning down to kiss the top of his head before sitting down. “A certain someone by the name of Oropher slept in you see.” He absently picked whatever food was within reach and began to eat. “Hm, perhaps giving you my robe was not the wisest idea, ada.”

He clung tightly to Celeborn for a moment, feeling yet again like an Elfling again as he nuzzled against his cheek fondly. “I have missed you, that is all. And after last night… well, I could do with some cheerful moments.” He took his seat, grinning as he watched Thranduil and Celeborn together - he was truly so thrilled to see two of his favourite people in the world so happy together. “I did not sleep in! You could have woken me.” He huffed playfully, reaching to fill his plate with his own choice of food - the size of the portion was miniscule compared to Thranduil’s. “Oh? Why do you say that?” As he spoke, it slipped from his shoulder once more.

He laughed fondly at their banter; just seeing them together, he noticed that Thranduil was much happier. That in itself made him sigh happily and brought him great joy. “Oropher, you may not have woken too easily; I know sometimes you are no different than a rock when it comes to sleep,” he remarked, a teasing tone in his voice. At Oropher’s question, he gestured to his bare shoulder where the robe had slipped off. “It seems the robe will not stay on your own shoulder…” Again, he reached for the fabric of his clothing and tried to readjust it so it would stay. Sadly, it was in vain, for the moment he pulled his hand away, it slowly but surely slipped from his shoulder. Frowning at the robe, he glanced up towards Thranduil. “We must fix this, or else it will simply continue to fall all morning and for the rest of the day.” 

Thranduil snorted slightly at his father. “Please. Not even Mumakil could have woken you up! Celeborn is right. You slept like a log, and even snored, so do not pretend you sleep like a feather~” He grinned at him. “But I love you for it nonetheless.” He laughed softly as he watched Celeborn struggle with trying to pull the fabric upwards. “Ah, no reason, no reason…” He met Celeborn’s eyes and smiled in mirth. “I think that we can leave it the way it is until after breakfast. And when we are done here, we shall find him some proper clothes so he will not have to struggle with that robe. I am far wider than him, as is obvious.”

“I am not that bad!” He pouted, haughtily stabbing his fork into some bacon and stuffing it into his mouth. “Thranduil is worse.” He muttered once he’d finished swallowing. He glanced at his bare shoulder as if seeing it for the first time. “Oh, yes… well, they are a little large on me, but these robes are comfortable and I do not wish to change.” He grinned. He finished his small plate of breakfast and rose from his chair, walking around to Celeborn’s. He contemplated asking permission, but he knew Celeborn would not mind either way, and so he slid into his lap and cuddled closer. “It is good to be home.”

“Memories kept me going. I do not know if it is possible to fade in the Halls, but I think I might have if I did not have my memories.” He smiled. “I did not think so, but I wanted to make sure. He really is a lovely Elf, and he adores Legolas. Do not be too hard on him, okay?”

“I am glad you did not,” he murmured and smiled at him. “So that we can continue making more memories.” He chuckled. “I make no promises, ada~ It all depends on what Haldir will be like on the day that we decide to do this… which I suppose must be soon. Tomorrow, maybe? Or later today…”

“Yes, we need many more memories!” He nuzzled against his arm, sighing happily. “Tomorrow, I think. Let him have some time to rest after travelling, Thranduil, otherwise it will not be a fair fight. Do you really want to best him when he is exhausted? There is no victory there!” They were approaching the private dining hall, and he could smell breakfast cooking already.

“That we do!” He pulled him closer still and sighed, loving the comfort and warmth Oropher gave him. “Tomorrow sounds good then. I suppose I would rather have a proper victory rather than an unfair one…. honour is, after all, important if you can have it.” He smelled the food and his stomach rumbled embarrassingly, and he grinned sheepishly. “I think I am quite ready for food now.”

He happily cuddled closer. “Tomorrow it is, then.” He laughed as Thranduil’s stomach rumbled and he reached around to pat his stomach gently. “The beast has woken, it seems. Best feed it before it starts clawing its way free.” He opened the door to the private dining hall, and beamed when he spotted Celeborn sat at the table. “Celeborn!” He released Thranduil’s hand and bounded over to him, throwing his arms around him. The robe slipped further down the one shoulder with the movement, and he quickly hitched it back up, only to have it slip off once again.

Glancing up as he heard his name, he smiled warmly as he saw Oropher approach him and quickly stood to receive his enthusiastic greeting. “I see you are very well today, Oropher,” he laughed and returned his embrace, smiling to Thranduil as he saw him through the corner of his eye. As soon as they pulled back, he saw the robe slip again from Oropher’s shoulder and reached out, pulling it up again. He didn’t remove his hand from his shoulder, even as Thranduil finally caught up. ”I was almost beginning to wonder where you two were.
